Harvard-Westlake Athletics strives to embody the mission of the school by building community through teamwork, pursuing athletic excellence, and promoting integrity through sportsmanship while enthusiastically representing the school with purpose and pride.
The school aims to provide top-quality athletic facilities to benefit its students and students from other schools during competitions and practices, and opens its running track on Coldwater Canyon for use by neighbors during daytime hours.
Harvard-Westlake offers 95 teams across 28 different sports. Last year, nearly 60% of Harvard-Westlake students participated on at least one interscholastic sports team. The school’s athletic department has won the CIF Commissioner’s Cup (top overall athletic program) three times for girls athletics and one time (2018-19) for boys athletics, and its athletic alumni include a half-dozen olympians, dozens of professional athletes, and hundreds of college athletes.
